Are you a Parent Carer of a child or young person with Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND) aged 0–25 in St Helens?
If yes, this is your local Parent Carer Forum. It is run by Parent Carers for Parent Carers.
Whether your child has a formal diagnosis or you’re just starting on your SEND journey, you are welcome here. A diagnosis is not needed to join our group or attend any of our events.
We’re here to listen, inform, and represent your voice.
Our Mission Statement
To work with the Local Authority, the Integrated Care Board and other service providers, including Health, Education & Social Care, to ensure that local services meet the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families thus ensuring they have the best possible outcomes.

Is the name of your parent carer forum. We started in 2009 and have 3 main aims:
Voices are Heard
To ensure parent carer voices are heard at the highest level so that the services used by them, and their children and young people, meet their needs.
Views & Experiences
To give parent carers the opportunity to share their views and experiences, of the services they use, with the service providers.
Local Services
To inform parent carers about local services so that they know what is available to support them and their families.
