This is your Parent Carer Forum. Run by Parent Carers for Parent Carers.

There are several ways that you can get involved. By joining there is no pressure to get more involved. We know how busy Parent Carers lives are but we are here for you to keep you informed. Get involved when or where you can.

Joining Your Forum

There are 5987 children and young people with SEND in St. Helens (20% of the total number of children and young people). We want to work with you to ensure that services meet your family’s needs. By becoming a member of Listen 4 Change, you will join with other parent carers in St Helens.

If you are interested in having your voice heard please join us.  You must be a parent carer of a child/young person with Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability aged 0-25 who live in or receive services from the borough of St Helens.  As a member you will be invited to each event we hold and will receive regular updates from us (via email, Facebook and our website).  

Parent Carer Representative

If you are interested in a more active role within L4C that involves attending events, workstreams and steering groups with professionals across education, health and social care services to represent the voices of parent carers, please email us.  Someone will contact you to provide further information about what this role entails and the training we offer you to develop the confidence and skills to enable you to fulfil this role.

Steering Group Member

The Steering Group are a group of parent carers who plan, manage and direct the work of Listen 4 Change.  We very much welcome new parent carers to join our management team.  Please email us and register your interest.  Someone will contact you to provide further information about what this role entails and the training we offer.
